The Chinese electronics manufacturer Xiaomi is set to launch its first electric car which will be a mid-size sedan according to the chines media Jiemian.com.
This Xiaomi electric car is expected to have 2 models, the 400V platform base model, and the 800V platform model which could have different ranges and power outputs.
According to chines media, the production of this Xiaomi EV will start in 2023 and the first prototype will be revealed by the end of this year. And this car is expected to go on sale by 2025.
Right now there are not any specific details revealed by Xiaomi about this car, but according to some Chinese media, they have seen a camouflaged car is been testing around Xiaomi’s science and Technology lab in China.
So, we can expect Xiaomi to be ready with its production model of their first electric car and will soon reveal it to the world by the end of 2023.
Now on price, according to Jiemian.com the price of Xiaomi electric will be 260,000 yuan ($38,000) for the base 400V model and 300,000 yuan ($51,000) for the 800V model.
The price is just a rough estimation so the actual price will be less than this.
